How Our Patented
Technology Works
| The
purpose of IDCertainty is to identify with 100% certainty the specific computer
being used in any online transaction. Multiple methods are being developed to
deliver this technology; delivery methods include discreet online scripts and
plug-ins for existing software. The significance of this is that online criminals
deliberately try to hide their identity so they cannot be traced while they perform
malicious activities. With IDCertainty, this will no longer be possible.
Our
IDCertainty gateway allows us to show:
1. A unique identifier (IDC ID) for
every computer that passes through the gateway. This identifier will not change,
even if the person tries to hide or spoof their computer's identity. The IDC ID
will also allow an administrator to prevent malicious activity from a specific
computer in the future.
2. If the connecting computer is spoofing their IP
address. This is the most common method for malicious users to hide their identity.
3.
If the connecting computer is connecting from the appropriate region (for both
the spoofed and real IP address). It is common for malicious users from outside
the intended target country to perform malicious activities. With IDC, this can
be blocked completely, even if they try to hide or spoof their true identity.
4.
If an online account is being accessed by a computer that has not been authorized
to do so. If this happens an administrator or the account holder can be notified.
If the account holder is just using a new computer, they can quickly authorize
the access by an automated e-mail or by an automated phone call. If the access
is unauthorized, pertinent information is logged and action can be taken against
the unauthorized computer/user.
5. If a computer tries to change their configuration
or otherwise try to trick the IDC gateway, we can detect this and flag the access.

Current Applications
of IDC
| We
currently have a functional executable IDC piggy-back model, which can be used
to protect any secure online application that a user has loaded on their computer,
with 100% certainty. Examples of where our IDC gateway can be integrated include:
1. Web browser software, which can then easily be plugged into secure
websites, offering protection for all online website authentication and online
website payments.
2. E-mail client software, providing the ultimate anti-spam
/ anti-virus solution.
3. Online game software, offering a perfect anti-hacking
solution and a 100% effective way to stop geo-fraud / spoofing.
4. Media players,
offering copyright protection for paid media downloads.
5. WWW server administration,
offering protection for secure applications such as Windows Remote Desktop or
Virtual Private Networking.

Future
Applications of IDC
|
We
intend to continue to adapt our executable IDC piggy-back model as required for
each specific application. IDC can be used to protect any online application where
security is very important. We will continue to develop a transparent IDC model
that will be invaluable for online websites to ensure a seamless user experience
with little to no action required by an administrator.
Ultimately if we
deliver the .exe to a platform with a large enough reach (i.e. web browser software,
e-mail clients, etc.), development of the transparent model will no longer be
necessary.

About The Inventor
|
Rob Bartlett is an
Internet entrepreneur who went to college to become a computer technician. Shortly
after finishing the program, Rob decided to start offering web services online,
leading to his own online endeavors. In 2001 Rob started offering outsourced services
for players of online role playing games. The purpose was to allow busy players
to have someone else overseas to complete tedious tasks, at a low cost. In 2001
this business generated approximately $80,000 in annual sales, growing to over
$1,000,000 in annual sales in 2006.
Along with the success of his business
came significant attacks from competitors. Rob has been dealing with fraud, hacking,
etc since 2005. As a result, Rob has made it his mission to develop a system that
will finally put an end to online crime once and for all. IDCertainty is that
system. Rob is the President/CEO. Rob currently lives in Kelowna, BC, CANADA.

Minds Behind
the System
|
Rob has teamed up with Rajat Khare and Appin Security Group (ASG) to develop the
security technology and systems behind IDCertainty. Rajat graduated from the Indian
Institute of Technology in Delhi, India, in the area of Computer Science. This
school is rated as the best university in India and 3rd best in the world in the
year 2005. Rajat currently serves as CEO and director for the Appin group of companies.
ASG offers security consulting and related research and development. ASG also
is a global leader in security education, offering instructor led programs, distance
learning and more.
